From the Director....
Our Sixth Annual Food Drive for Mission Arlington will start February 1st. It will run from Friday, February 1st to Thursday, February 28th. What better way to teach our children about God’s love than by helping others? In the book of Matthew 14:16-21: Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. “Bring them here to me,” he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.” We are very excited and honored to help ones in need. Last year we received around 3,700 items. This year we hope to exceed that amount and get close to 5,000 items!
There will be tables with signs located in the Preschool hallway as well as in the Plaza. On Friday, March 1st we will gather in the Plaza to help box the food and load Mission Arlington’s truck. Please talk to your children about being a servant of Christ. When we start this foundation at a young age it will carry with them throughout their life.
Our Jesus Loves Me Party will be on Thursday, February 14th, in the classrooms. Look for signup sheet placed outside your child’s classroom starting February 4th. Monday, February 18th, we will be closed for Presidents’ Day.
I will be sending out sign up forms for Summer Registration starting in February. Summer Registration sign-up for current students will be starting on March 1st and going until March 29th. You will need to complete the registration form as well as the $50 fee to reserve your spot. Starting April 1st, we will open registration to the public. All spots are given on a first come first serve basis, so make sure you get your spot saved. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
Remember, if it is below 40 degrees, rainy, or snowing we will be in the Plaza. Above 40 degrees and sunny we will be on the playground. Make sure children are dressed in appropriate clothing for the weather.
